So I was watching a Swedish flick on Amazon (A Man Called Ove). The titular character is a SAAB lover, which is slightly germaine to the post. Anyway, I loved his line when confronted by an asshole in an Audi.
“Four zeros on the bonnet, and one behind the wheel”.
I’ll have to remember that one.

The history of the audi logo is pretty neat. http://www.car-brand-names.com/audi-logo/
Audi is actually the literal latin translation of Horch founder August Horch last name. He was forced out of Horch and started Audi and which was eventually purchased by DKW and then Horch, Audi, DKW, and Wanderer all merged into the Auto Union.

There’s a lot of fun to be had with the “how an Audi earns its rings” ad slogan.

I always like to point out that Ferdinand Porsche worked for Auto Union back in the 1930's. Then I give people the fact that Harley Davidson and BSA sold motorcycles in the 50s that had an engine that was designed by the DKW part of Auto Union. That how the H-D Hummer and the BSA Bantam originated as well as Russian derivatives as part of war reparations. After that gets them baffled I point out that in 2002 Harley went to Porsche Design for the engineering of the V-Rod engine. All those connections to the US companies and two German auto giants tweaks some of the die hard patriots more than you can imagine.

I like the one I read a few months back calling some Audi drivers, ‘Audiots’.
